without comments

Conventional western medicine still has no answer as to what really causes acne although it does provide people with real remedies to treat it. There are a wide array of medical treatments offered in the market for acne that it is very hard to sort the bad ones from the good and the poor ones from the effective ones. Amid this ocean of so-called remedies, acupuncture stands out as one treatment that has proven time and again to be very effective in curing acne.

People are now realizing how effective acupuncture is in resolving acne conditions and it has helped many acne sufferers to get rid of this extremely unwanted skin condition for good. A lot of qualified dermatologists highly endorse this type of treatment. Acupuncture has been a proven a health benefit for countless numbers of people throughout the centuries. This practice has its origins in China and has helped the Chinese deal with their health conditions throughout China’s long history.

Acupuncture is an integral part of a medical system known as traditional Chinese medicine or TCM for short. The aim of TCM and acupuncture is to treat certain parts of the body by inserting needles into parts of the body known as acupuncture points. Just underneath these points are vessels of energy known as meridians where vital energy or qi flows. When the acupuncture needles are inserted into some of these points it helps remove blockages that have formed in the affected meridians. These blockages are responsible for many kinds of health conditions.

Western medicine has its own explanations as to how acupuncture works. Studies have shown that there are two types of acupuncture that have been seen as the most effective for treating acne. One of these is electro acupuncture, which utilizes a mild electrical current and the other is ear or auricular acupuncture which is a type of acupuncture that uses the ear to treat maladies.

There is a type of acupuncture known as herbal medicine acupuncture. Two systems of herbal medicines have been in use in China for a long time. These are Chi Kung and Tai Chi. Both systems have been in use in China since 2500 BC and are still not widely practiced in western nations by the simple fact that a lot of people there are not aware of their existence up until the 1950s. Now, they are slowly becoming more known and some western physicians have included these two modalities as part of their fare of treatment; Chi Kung and Tai Chi have proven to bring about truly impressive results.

There are about 2000 acupuncture points and 59 meridians in the human body.  Acupuncture can treat all types of ailments and conditions like acne scars, acne, bronchitis and asthma to name just a few.  It is extremely effective in removing pain. However, acupuncture may not be effective for all people. Some people do not receive any benefits from acupuncture at all not matter how hard they try. Also the effects of acupuncture may differ from person to person.  This wonderful treatment has gained wide acceptance all over the world and it is a safe treatment that is free of side effects.
